Social Practice &
Community-Based Art
In Lancaster, PA

Visual art and creative expression is a means of collaborating, communicating, and problem-solving and a core aspect of what makes us human. Social Practice and Community-Based Art are intersecting ways to bring stories and ideas to life, shed light on injustice, and serve as powerful tools for change.

That’s why we support our partners with resources to give them a platform to use artistic expression to highlight and address challenges in Lancaster. That includes supporting artists with a grant for their project, culminating with an on-campus exhibition.

“Thanks to this grant, we were able to put on ‘The Mix Kidz Music Festival’, where parents were able to see their kids in a different light and the work they have been putting in these past few months.”
