Documenting the Undocumented presentation and report

Documenting the Undocumented explores how undocumented immigrants and people with temporary protected status (TPS) experienced the nation’s deadliest pandemic in history in Lancaster County. A research team from Franklin and Marshall College and CWS-Lancaster outline a number of findings, including the financial and psychological effects of the pandemic and the important role that local non-profits played in assisting families when they could not access rapid state or federal assistance. The authors link the findings to policy debates about immigration reform and mental health.

During this virtual launch, the authors presented their findings and Dr. Cristina Perez commented on their implications for national debates about immigration reform. 

Dr. Perez is an Assistant Professor of American Studies at F&M and has published extensively on immigration and border politics.
